About

Tirta Gangga  is a former royal water palace of Karangasem King in eastern Bali. Tirta Gangga is located in the village of Ababi, an approximate 75km east of Denpasar. Tirta Gangga is a popular side trip from the nearby coastal resort towns of Amed and Candidasa. The complex is a cool retreat in the eastern highlands, perched on the south-eastern slope of the island's highest mountain,  Mount Agung . Tirta Gangga is a convenient stopover along   Bali tour package   itineraries to Bali's eastern region. The scenery of the area is fantastic with great views and the climate is relatively cool. These facts, together with the religious rites of the spring, inspired the King to build himself a private country house nearby this spring set amidst a beautiful recreational garden.
