Viman Nagar is a neighbourhood in the eastern corridor of Pune , around half a kilometer from a military airstrip which currently serves as Pune's only domestic cum international airport. The name of this neighbourhood has been derived from this nearby air force station. Pre-independence, this area was known as Dunkirk Lines.
