One of the oldest golf courses in North America, the Bedford Springs course was originally designed in 1895 by Spencer Oldham. The 6,000-yard, 18-hole course featured his geometric style and included "chocolate drop" mounds, and serpentine and doughnut bunkers. In 1912, A.W. Tillinghast redesigned the course and converted it to nine holes.
