Day 1: Cochin To Munnar
On arrival at Cochin airport you will be met by our representative and proceed to Munnar. On the way you will travel through misty mountains and vast estates covered in tea plantations. You can stop at any point to take pictures and move according to your convenience. Upon arrival in Munnar you will check in to your pre booked hotel. Overnight stay at Munnar.
Day 2: Munnar Sightseeing
Today morning you will set out for sightseeing of Munnar which includes the Rajamalai and Eravikulam National Park (you can spot the rare “Nilgiri Thar / Mountain goat” here). In the afternoon you can visit the Mattupetty Lake and dam followed by the Tea Museum which gives a beautiful history of Munnar since pre-independence era. (Tea Museum’s closing time is 4 PM and it remains closed on Mondays). In the evening you will return to hotel. Overnight stay at Munnar.
Day 3: Munnar To Thekkady
Today after your breakfast you will proceed to Thekkady also known as Periyar famous for the “Periyar National Park” and “Tiger Reserve”. On arrival you will check in to your hotel. Then proceed for Spice plantation where you can witness rare spice plants and how they are grown and produced. You can then visit the beautiful Periyar Lake surrounded by plush green forests. You can go for boating in the Periyar Lake (Optional). In the evening you will return to hotel. Overnight stay at Thekkady.
Day 4: Thekkady To Alleppey
After breakfast drive to Alleppey. On arrival check in to your house boat (check in time 12.30 pm). A Houseboat or a Kettuvallam is the olden day rice boat converted into luxurious cruising villa with all modern comforts. Enjoy a cruise along the backwaters of Vembanad Lake. Traditional Kerala food will be served on board. Overnight stay at Alleppey.
Day 5: Alleppey To Kovalam
After breakfast proceed to Kovalam. It is a beautiful beach destination located 15 Kms south of Trivandrum, the capital of Kerala. It has three crescent shaped beaches out of which the “Lighthouse beach” is the most popular. On arrival you will check in to your hotel. Overnight stay at Kovalam.
Day 6: Kovalam Sightseeing
Breakfast at hotel. Today you can go for sightseeing of Trivandrum city which includes the famous Padmanabhaswamy Temple and Napier art gallery (closed on Mondays), Kuthriamally Palace (closed on Mondays). In the afternoon have lunch at a local restaurant. Post lunch you can go for shopping in the city markets. Return to hotel in the evening. Dinner will be at hotel. Overnight stay at Kovalam
Day 7: Kovalam To Trivandrum Drop
Morning after breakfast you will be transferred to Trivandrum Airport station on time to board the flight / train for your next destination.
