About the tour
Popularly known as the Queen of Hills, Darjeeling is located in the Shivalik hills of the lower range of the Himalayas. Like most other hill stations in India, the British developed Darjeeling as a respite from the summer heat in the plains. The British loved the town for the complete rejuvenation package that it offered - serene atmosphere, view of the snowline, scented pines and a golden colored brew called the Darjeeling tea.

Day-wise Itinerary
ExpandDay 01 : Arrival New Jalpaiguri Railway Station/ Ixb To Kalimpong
On arrival at New Jalpaiguri railway station / IXB Airport you will be met by our office Executive who will assist you to board your vehicle to Kalimpong. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 02 : Kalimpong To Gangtok
After breakfast start for sightseeing, Visit Dello, Flower / Orchid Nursery, Dr. Grahams Home, Mangal Dham and Buddhist monastery ,Back to hotel for check out and transfer to Gangtok. Overnight stay at Gangtok.
Day 03 : Excursion Visit Tsomgo Lake And Baba Mandir
A day excursion to Tsomgo Lake - situated at a height of 3,780 Mts. with an average depth of 50 ft and Baba Mandir - The shrine maid in memory of sepoy Harbahajan Sing , Back to Gangtok. Evening free , Overnight stay.
Day 04 : Gangtok To Lachung
After breakfast pick up from hotel at Gangtok and transfer to Lachung (altitude 8610 ft). Via Phodong, Mangan, Singik Chungthang and Maltim, Lunch on the way. Overnight stay at Lachung.
Day 05 : Excursion To Yumthang Valley And Back
Early Morning visit Yumthang-Valley ( Famous as Valley of variety of Rhododendron ), Yumthang is the summer grazing ground of the yaks and winter playgrounds of yetis ( Myth ). On the way back visit the Hot Spring considered to have medicinal properties. Back to resort for lunch. Overnight stay at Lachung.
Day 06 : Lachung To Gangtok
After breakfast departure (8.00 AM) for the Gangtok, Rest of the day free for own activities. Over night stay at hotel.
Day 07 : Gangtok To Darjeeling
After breakfast start half day city tour of Gangtok covering Rumtek Monastery, JL Botanical Garden, Do-Dul Chorten, Institute of Tibetology( Closed On Sunday), Flower show and Directorate of Handicrafts and Handlooms(Closed On Sunday). After completion of tour, transfer to Darjeeling. Arrive Darjeeling transfer to hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 08 : In Darjeeling
Early Morning at 0400 AM visit Tiger Hill ,famous for sunrise over Mt. Kanchendzonga, on way back visit Ghoom Monastery, Batasia Loop and back to hotel. After breakfast proceed for visit 7 points ,covering The Himalayan Mountaineering Institute and PNZ Zoological Park ( both closed on Thursday) Tenzing Rock, Tibetans Refuge Centre (closed on Sunday), Tea Garden (outer view), Japanese Temple, Peace Pagoda and Ropeway (operational, ropeway ride ticket to be paid by guest directly). Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 09 : Darjeeling To New Jalpaiguri Railway Station / Ixb
Morning free for packing and transfer to New Jalpaiguri railway station or Bagdogra airport for return journey – Tour Ends.

Terms and Conditions
Expand- As per the government rule in one inova only 06 pax are allowed that is including child ,tata sumo/hard top jeep only 07 - 08 pax are allowed that is including child. Incase the number of pax travelling increases above 08, then the pax will have to opt for the 2nd (second) vehicle for which the supplement cost is extra, as per the above itinerary on point to point basis & not at disposal.

- Suggested hotels are subject to availability at the time of booking. In case the same is not available, then the best similar category will be provided
- The tour cost is not refundable at any cause, once tour starts
- The tour guide reserves the rights to make changes/detour or omit any place of visit, if it becomes necessary due to bad weather, bad road, strike or band and security reason
- Tourist will carry their luggage at own risk and responsibility; East Wind Holiday Tours Pvt. Ltd does not hold any responsibility for any loss of luggage during the tour.
- Nathula Pass visit is only possible on Wednesday , Thursday, Friday , Saturday & Sunday with prior permission obtained 48 hrs in advance as per defense regulation . Nathula is NOT ADVISABLE to guest having problem with blood pressure, knee & heart. Since Nathula is a restrict area any time army can seal for security reasons. In such case tour will only be till Tsomgo Lake
