Kalimpong is located at an altitude of 4,100ft. Because of its relatively lower altitude compared to Darjeeling or Gangtok, the weather is milder and pleasant for most part of the year. Day-wise Itinerary
ExpandDay 1: Arrival At New Jalpaiguri Railway Station / Bagdogra Airport And Transfer To Darjeeling
Arrive at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station / Bagdogra airport and transfer to Darjeeling (6,710 ft.). On arrival check-in to hotel & rest of the day at leisure. Spend overnight at hotel in Darjeeling.
Day 2: Darjeeling Local Sightseeing
Witness the spectacular sunrise over Mount Khangchendzongha (28,208 ft. Worlds 3rd highest peak at around 4 a.m) at Tiger Hill in early morning (subject to weather condition) thrill yourself by visiting World famous Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop on your way back. After a sumptuous breakfast visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park (Thursday closed), Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee self-help Centre (Sunday closed), Tea Garden (outer view) , Japanese Temple, Peace Pagoda. In evening explore the Mall on your own and shop around. Spend overnight at hotel in Darjeeling.
Day 3: Darjeeling To Kalimpong Sightseeing
After your delightful breakfast transfer to Kalimpong (4,100 ft.). On arrival check into your hotel. Afternoon enjoy half day tour of Kalimpong Visit Mangal Dham, Deolo Hill, Dr. Graham’s Home, Golf Garden, Durpin Dara Hills and Flowers Nurseries. Spend overnight at hotel in Kalimpong.
Day 4: Kalimpong To Gangtok Local Sightseeing
After breakfast transfer to Gangtok (5,480 ft.). On arrival check into your hotel. Afternoon proceed for a half day city tour visiting Ranka Monstary, Banzakhri Falls, Cottage Industry and Handicraft Centre, Flower show, Dro-drulChorten and Institute of Tibetology (maximum 3-4 hours). Evening at leisure . Spend overnight at hotel in Gangtok.
Day 5: Excursion To Tsomgo Lake And Baba Mandir
After a sumptuous breakfast start for an excursion to Tsomgo Lake (12,400 ft.) and Baba Mandir (13,200 ft.) which is 55 kms one way from Gangtok city. Evening at leisure. Spend overnight at hotel in Gangtok. (In case of Land slide or any other reason Tsomgo Lake is closed we will provided alternate sightseeing.)
Day 6: Departure
After a delightful breakfast check out from hotel in time and take the departure transfer to New jalpaiguri railway station / Bagdogra airport for your onward journey. We wish you a happy journey.
