Leh, the capital of Ladakh is situated towards the eastern parts of Jammu and Kashmir. It lies on the crossroads of the historic 'Silk Route' from Sinkiang to West Asia and to the plains of India. Leh, one of the coldest deserts in the world is located at a distance of 434 Kms from Srinagar and 474 Kms from Manali (Himachal Pradesh).
Day 01: Arrival At Chandigarh
Arrive Chandigarh. On arrival transfer to hotel at Manali. Overnight stay at manali.
Day 02: Manali To Keylong
After early breakfast drive to Keylong, over crossing the Picturesque Rohtang pass (3980 m) – the gateway to Lahaul & Spiti valley. The first half of the terrain is gradual assent through green patches until we reach at the Rohtang pass. From the pass we descend towards Koksar – an official tea stop, we at meet Chadra River (coming from Spiti) and continue to Keylong. Overall terrain is fine except some bumps over the Rohtang pass. Overnight stay at Keylong.
Day 03: Keylong To Sarchu
Morning drive to Sarchu , over crossing Baralacha pass (4892 m). We follow the Bhaga River via Darcha till Patseo and then assent to Baralacha pass and then descend towards Sarchu. You have to negotiate with the bumps at some places and have to soak in water while crossing Small River. Arrive Sarchu, is the territorial mark between Himachal and Ladakh. Check in and overnight stay at Sarchu.
Day 04: Sarchu To Rumtse
Morning we leave been chanting composite of Sarchu-lingtiplains, the road climbs higher and suddenly mountains cape encounter so far. Continuesly drive over the Lapchungla pass to be followed by the drive through the most remarkable Sekyunehothang plains at the end of Tanglangla pass (5328 mtrs) considered as one of the highest motorable mountain pass in the world. We camp at Rumtse located at the foot of the mighty Tanglangla pass after driving over the pass. Overnight stay at Rumtse.
Day 05: Rumste To Leh
Day 06: Leh
Morning is free for rest. Afternoon visit Sangam (confluence of Indus & Zanskar Rivers), Magnetic Point, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Kali Mata (Temple of Guardians in Spituk monastery) & Hall of Fame. Overnight stay at Leh.
Day 07: Leh To Nubra Valley
After an early breakfast we drive to NUBRA VALLEY leads through KHARDUNG-LA-PASS (the highest motorable road in the world) at 18,390 ft, around 39kms from Leh. Nubra Valley is popularly known as Ldorma or the valley of flowers. It is situated to the North of Ladakh between the Karakoram and Ladakh ranges of the Himalayas. Overnight stay at Nubra Valley.
Day 08: Nubra Valley To Leh
After your breakfast at the camp, visit the SAND DUNES to enjoy a camel safari (Optional). Later we drive to Leh over Khardung La. Afternoon rest and relax or take a walk to the local market. Overnight stay at leh.
Day 09: Departure From Leh
Early morning transfer to the airport for taking the flight back home.
