Day-wise Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival And Transfer To Gangtok

On arrival at New Jalpaiguri railway station / Bagdogra airport you will be received by our office executive who will assist you to board your vehicle to Gangtok. Upon arrival proceed to the hotel for check in the evening is free for leisure. Overnight stay at Gangtok.

Day 2: Excursion To Tsomogo Lake And Baba Mandir

After breakfast at hotel you will depart for full day Sightseeing of Tsomogo Lake and Baba Mandir. (Nathu La Pass to Republic of China is nearly 20 Kms and is an optional tour). Return to Gangtok in the evening, overnight stay at hotel. Tsomogo Lake is one of the most popular destinations for tourists it is located at 43 km from Gangtok. The lake is about 1km long, oval in shape, 15 metres deep and is considered sacred by the local people. This placid lake remains frozen during the winter months. On the way to the lake, you will enjoy beautiful scenery and snow capped mountains.The cool water of the Lake is perfectly attuned with the scenic beauty around. (In case of Land slide or any other reason Tsomogo Lake is closed we will provide alternate sightseeing).

Day 3: Gangtok To Lachung

Pick up at 10 am from hotel in Gangtok to proceed towards Lachung.On the way to Lachung you will enjoy magnificent location like Tashi Viewpoint, Kabi Lungstok, Naga Waterfalls, the confluence of rivers Lachen chu and Lachung chu at Chungthang, Twin waterfalls and Bhim Nala Waterfalls. Lunch will be served on route at Namok. You are likely to reach Lachung late in the afternoon or evening. Upon arrival proceed for check in at hotel. Overnight stay at Lachung.

Day 4: Yumthang Excursion To Gangtok

After breakfast you leave for Yumthang. You can pay a visit to the famous hot spring on the way. Yumthang is a large valley surrounded by mountains where the tree line ends. In April, May and June the valley erupts in a riot of colours as rhododendrons, primulae and many other Alpine Flowers are in full bloom. In winters, Yumthang is somber with snow all around and the snow clad mountains adds to the ethereal beauty. Return to Lachung for lunch. After lunch you will depart for Gangtok. Overnight stay at Gangtok.

Day 5: Gangtok To Pelling

After breakfast at hotel you will depart for half day city tour of Gangtok. This includes Directorate of Handicrafts and Handlooms, Research Institute of Tibetology, Dro-drul Chorten (Stupa, built by the venerable Trulshi Rimpoche, head of the Nyingma order of Tibetan Buddhism, in 1945) etc. After Sightseeing depart for Pelling. Upon arrival, check in at hotel. The evening is free for leisure, overnight stay at Pelling.

Day 6: Pelling Sightseeing

After breakfast at hotel you will be taken for full day sightseeing. This includes Rimbi Water Falls, Rimbi Rock Garden, Kechopalri Lake (The world Khachoedpalri means The Wishing Lake. It is one of the most sacred and holy lakes for the Buddhists), Kanchenjunga water Falls, Kechopalri Monastery, Pemayangtse Monastery and Rabdentse Ruins. Return to hotel for an overnight stay at Pelling.

Day 7: Pelling To Darjeeling

After breakfast you leave for Darjeeling. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.

Day 8: Darjeeling Sightseeing

Early morning at around 3:45 AM drive through primitive forests of oak, magnolia to Tiger Hill to view sunrise over Kanchendzonga Peak (subject to clear weather). On the way back visit Ghoom Monastery, Peace memorial and Batasia Loop. Back to hotel. After breakfast rest for half an hour. Half Day city tour includes Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Closed on Thursday), Ropeway, Tensing Gumpo Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self Help Center (Closed on Sunday), Tea Estate, Natural History Museum (Sunday Closed), Peace Pagoda. Back to hotel. Evening free to stroll around the area. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.

Day 9: Departure

After breakfast at hotel transfer to New Jalpaiguri railway station / Bagdogra airport for your onward journey.

  • Permit require for Tsomgo Lake. It is mandatory that guest should carry 04 copies of pass – port size photograph, original photo ID proof with photo copy (identity card – Voter ID card/Pass-port/Driving License etc) for processing the permit. (All traveller including child)
  • Permit also require for travelling to North Sikkim (Lachung & Lachen). Requires 02 more copies of passport size photographs along with original photo ID proof. (All traveller including child-School Id or Birth Certificates)
