Ho Chi Minh City is commonly known as Saigon. Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) is located in the delta area of the Saigon and Dong Nai rivers. It is Vietnam’s largest city and an important economic, trade, cultural and research center, both within the country and in South-East Asia. HCMC has a diversified topography, ranging from mainly agricultural and rural areas in the north to a widespread system of rivers, canals and dense mangrove forest to the South.
Here is how you will spend your time
Day 1: Arrival At Saigon
Upon arrival at Tan Son Nhat international airport, you are warmly welcomed by our guide and transferred to city central for checking in hotel. Afternoon, we take a half day of city tour to visit all attractive tourist destinations of this bustling city. Firstly is the Reunification Palace, which was the former residence of the President of South Vietnam until end of April 1975, followed by some French colonial structures including the Old Saigon Post Office and Notre Dame Cathedral. We then go to Jade Emperor Pagoda- one of very interesting pagoda in town, after that we continue our trip to Ben Thanh market, which is firstly well-known as the place for real Vietnamese food. There are a number of vendors and food stalls in the market food section that offers guests many freshly delicious dishes. You also can find any goods for daily use as well as variety of eye-catching local handicrafts, souvenirs here. Have dinner at local restaurant and overnight at hotel in Saigon. Day 2: Cao Dai Temple And Cu Chi Tunnels Combination Day Tour
Breakfast at hotel, travel by road about 100km to Tay Ninh province. Here you will see the famous Cao Dai Temple, the Holy see of the Cao Dai religion, a unique combination of the Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism, Christianity and Islam with colorful ceremonies that are unique to observe. After having lunch at local restaurant, we continue onto Cu Chi Tunnel, an incredible underground network constructed by Vietnamese fighters during the long struggle for independence. The tunnels contained hospitals, plus accommodation and schools and were used as a military base for the Vietcong during the American war. Day 3: Ho Chi Minh City Tour
Breakfast at hotel then, depart from Ho Chi Minh for My Tho city by AC car. Enjoy the peaceful villages on the way and get far away from city life. We also visit Dong Tam Snake farm on the way to My Tho. Upon arrival to My Tho city, we overview floating fish houses by boat. Motorized boat rides to Con Phung (Phoenix Island) of Ben Tre province. The province is home of coconut, you can buy handicraft made from coconut trees. Around noon, have lunch on the island with delicious local dishes deep fired Elephant ear fish and explore amazing Mekong canals. Motorized boat cruise along natural creeks and quiet villages in Ben Tre province for visiting to orchards, bee-keeping house, enjoy honey tea, seasonal tropical fruit and traditional music. Take horse cart along peaceful village. Rowing-boat rides along small mangrove palm creek (mangrove palm or Nypa-frutican known as "dua nuoc" in Vietnam). See Coconut candy production process. Then, transfer you back Ho Chi Minh City. On the way back drop by visiting Vinh Trang Pagoda and Mekong rest stop for short break. Dinner and overnight in Saigon and spend time to discovery Saigon by night.
Day 4: Departure
Breakfast at hotel then enjoying your last free time to buy gift or souvenir till transfer to airport for departure flight.
