Football. For a taste of local sport, visit the home games of the local clubs. APOEL [9], Omonoia [10] and Olympiakos (Nicosia). All three compete in the top division of the Cyprus football and basketball leagues. Recently APOEL football team has enjoyed considerable success in European competitions. So you never know, you might be lucky and catch an Aberdeen visit.
