The Global Pagoda, was recently inaugurated in February 2009, by the President of India. The beautifully constructed Burmese-style pagoda has created a renewed pride with a source of peace among all. The Global Pagoda is a place where the teachings of Buddha find yet another outlet to enlighten the path-seekers. In fact, there are one day courses conducted on Vipassana (Meditation). Apart from being a sight of worship, the pagoda is an architectural marvel on its own. The intricately inter-locked stone structure is the largest in the continent, sure worth the visit for one and all. This place is easily accessible and located near Esselworld in Gorai.
