Offering the largest variety of rare breed animals in the North West the Mellon Fun Farm is the perfect venue for a family day out, school trip or even to celebrate a birthday party. Set in the picturesque 18 acre site between Omagh and Newtownstewart, there is a peaceful and relaxed atmosphere down on the farm as visitors have the freedom to meet and pet many of the hundreds of rare-breed animals.With a Cafe on site that sources all its produce locally, the Mellon Fun Farm can cater for groups of all sizes. There is even the opportunity to take a tractor ride for a truly authentic farmyard experience.Family is at the heart of this venture which has been three years in the making. With David Booth acting as the animal expert, his wife Sharon shows her catering expertise in the Cafe. They are ably supported by their sons Troy and Dale, and daughter Hayley. The team is completed with Barney, who helps keep everything running smoothly.David said they are all delighted it is now officially open to the public and is relishing the positive customer feedback they have received. We work long days but when your passion is your profession they say you never have to work again.
