The "Neue Berliner Scala" is a free theatre that has currently found a home at the Coupé Theater on Hohenzollerndamm. Colourful music theatre is on the program with a good portion of humour. The varied repertoire includes the "Schlager" revue called "Hossa" that is dedicated both musically and stylishly to the 1970s. With hits like "Er gehört zu mir" (He belongs to me), "Ein Bett im Kornfeld" (A bed in the corn field) and "Fiesta Mexicana" along with frilled shirts and flared trousers, the musical offers an amusing review of a time when people wore polyester shirts and platform shoes with pride and without shame. An integral part of the show plan is also the musical comedy "Non(n)sens" about five merry nuns who unexpectedly become show stars as well as the love songs of "Desperate Uschi".
