About 35 miles outside of Shanghai's city center lies this 6,861 yard, par 72, 18-hole course, designed by the Nelson, Wright & Haworth Golf Course Architects group, arguably the most difficult golf course in Shanghai. Sun Island Golf club has hosted such great tournaments as the Volvo China open. As if the designers knew the high level of skill that would be required to par this course, they added practice facilities that include a driving range with 30 individual bays, pitching and bunker area, and an 18-hole mini-golf course to sharpen your green skills.
