Day-wise Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Broome

  • Upon arrival at Broome airport you will be taken on an afternoon scenic sightseeing tour of Broome, including a visit to Matso's Brewery for a private tour and tasting (most remote brewery since 1997). Watch the sunset while you enjoy a cocktail at a local pub overlooking Cable beach. This evening, sit down to dinner and a show at The Bay Club, the best place in town to view the Staircase to the Moon.

  • Important note: recommended time of arrival 12 noon. Arriving later then the suggested time may result in missed touring.
  • Destination Information - Broome – Is a beach town in Western Australia’s Kimberley Region. It is famous for its extensive white sand
  • coastline and picturesque sunsets.
  • Destination Information - Staircase to the moon – Is a natural phenomenon which occurs when a full moon rises over the exposed tidal flats of Roebuck bay. This natural event can only be viewed between the months on March- October and for only 2-3 days of each month.

Day 2: Full Day Horizontal Falls & Pearl Farm Tour

  • Depart on your full Horizontal Falls & Cygnet Bay Tour! At 5am drive north along the Dampier Peninsular, enjoy a tea or coffee at your first stop, the famous pearl shell church at Beagle Bay. Your second stop is Cape Leveque Beach, then on to Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm for breakfast and a pearl farm tour. After breakfast, ready your cameras as you board your turbo prop jetseaplane for a low levelscenic flight will take you across the amazing thousand island Buccaneer Archipelago, landing onto the calm waters of Talbot Bay. Enjoy a fresh BBQ Barramundi lunch. After, it's time to get the heart rate up again, with a ride through the Horizontal Falls on a 1200hp fast boat. Sit back and relax as you cruise through the spectacular untouched surrounding bays and creeks. Experience the thrill of swimming in a huge croc/shark free cage and feeding friendly fish (snorkelling gear provided). Fly directly back to Broome with an aerial view of Cable Beach and Broome Township prior to landing.

  • Destination Information - Horizontal Falls – They are a great wonder of the natural world. They are found in Talbot Bay in the Buccaneer Archipelago and are fast flowing currents that squeeze between two narrow gorges.
  • Destination Information - Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm – Located in the Dampier Peninsula it is home to the Australian Pearl. With more than 70 years of history it offers an insight into the Australian pearl industry history.

Day 3: Whale Watching

  • Following a few hours at leisure this morning, board your 4.5 hour Whale Watching and Sunset eco- cruise aboard the beautifully appointed catamaran 'Orcaella'. With shaded decks and comfortable seating 'Orcaella' is a fantastically stable vessel which provides great vantage points, giving you guaranteed uninterrupted views of the world's largest population of humpback whales. Enjoy once in a lifetime encounters, expert commentary, delicious canapes, fruit, coffee and tea and a spectacular sunset, before returning to land at 6pm.

Day 4: Windjana Gorge & Tunnel Creek

  • Today you get a taste of the Kimberley on a full days expedition to Windjana Gorge and Tunnel Creek! Depart early and travel east into the Kimberley region. Head over the Willare Bridge, crossing the mighty Fitzroy River, and stop for morning tea break. Continue onto one of the Kimberley’s most famous landmarks, the Boab Prison Tree, once used to house convicts. Head through the Kimberley Cattle country, continue along the famous Gibb River Road arriving at Windjana Gorge, for a picnic lunch. Regarded as a classic world geological feature, the gorge is a renowned freshwater crocodile spotting site! Afterwards, head to Tunnel Creek, a 750-metre long flooded cavern. On this great adventure walk, wade through knee to thigh high water and hear the story of Jandamarra. The tunnel features many beautiful formations including stalactites and stalagmites and is also home to a variety of bats, olive pythons and freshwater crocodiles. Enjoy a swim at the end of the tunnel in a waterhole before heading back for afternoon tea. Tonight enjoy a farewell dinner with your group.

  • Destination Information - Windjana Gorge – It is a famous spot of the Kimberley, it is a 3.5 km gorge found by the Lennard River. The gorge offers a spectacular site of 30-100m high rock walls. Also famously known as a freshwater crocodile spotting site.
  • Destination Information - Tunnel Creek – Is a 750 meter long flooded cavern that a creek has worn through the Napier range. It is the oldest cave system in Western Australia.

Day 5: Depart Broome

  • Following breakfast, transfer back to Broome Airport to connect with your onward flight to Broome.
