Day-wise Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Uluru

  • Upon arrival into Ayers Rock Airport, you will be met by your local guide and/or driver from Wendy Wu Tours. You will be taken to your hotel in Yulara. This afternoon you will transfer out to the Kata Tjutas (The Olgas) for the Walpa Gorge walk followed by champagne and nibbles from the Viewing Platform at Kata Tjuta.
  • Important note: Recommended time of arrival is 1pm. Arriving later then the suggested time may result in missed touring.
  • Destination Information - Uluru – located in the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park it stands out as a massive sandstone monolith in the heart of the arid “Red Centre” in the Northern Territory. It is a sacred site to indigenous Australians, thought to have started forming around 550 million years ago.

Day 2: Uluru

  • This morning rise early for a sunrise over Uluru. After a full breakfast at your resort, enjoy a guided base walk and Mutitjulu Waterhole tour. Tonight board a shared transfer to watch the sun sink behind Uluru and then watch the desert light up with the once-in a lifetime field of light installation by celebrated artist Bruce Munro which is on display for a limited time. Then take your seat at the Sounds of Silence Experience! Enjoy a 3-course meal infused with bush tucker flavours all while listening to a resident star talker that will help decipher the blanket of constellations that will illuminate your evening.
  • Destination Information - Mutitjulu Waterhole – The waterhole lies at the foot of one of the folds of the rock face of Uluru. The body of water that collects here is so calm it reflects the backdrop like a mirror. The waterhole also hosts a series of rock paintings that depict Indigenous stories and history, and reflect importance of this area to the Anangu People.

Day 3: Uluru – Kings Canyon

  • This morning following one more sunrise, a visit to the Cultural Centre to see the Dot Painters in action, and some time for lunch at leisure (at own cost), transfer to Kings Canyon for an early evening arrival. Enjoy dinner, and a drink on the sundower deck upon arrival.
  • Destination Information - Kings Canyon – 440 million years in the making Kings Canyon offers landscape like no other place on earth. It is a canyon in the Northern Territory of Australia located at the Western end of the George Gill Range. The rock faces sore high above Kings creek and the Rim walk is most definitely a highlight of the area.

Day 4: Kings Canyon

  • This morning rise early and enjoy the magificent Rim Walk (3 -4 hours) at Kings Canyon including a visit to the Garden of Eden. Arrive back at your resort in time for a lunch at leisure and an afternoon spent lazing by the pool.
  • Destination Information - Rim Walk – This is a walking path around the rim of a sandstone canyon, with some steep climbs and views of the rock formations.

Day 5: Kings Canyon – Alice Springs

  • This morning following breakfast, transfer to Alice Springs. Learn how the town of Alice Springs has evolved into the central hub of the Australian outback. Visit historical sites and some of the essential services delivered from Alice to the community of this vast region over the next 2 days. The traditional custodians of the land are the Arrernte people, who refer to Alice as ‘Mpwante’. Visit Alice Springs Reptile Centre.
  • Destination Information - Alice Springs – The gateway to explore the Red Centre. A remote town found halfway between Darwin and Adelaide.

Day 6: Alice Springs

  • Today continue your touring of this fascinating region. Visit the School of the Air, the Telegraph Station and the Royal Flying Doctors HQ. Tonight, following dinner and a tasty pint at Alice Springs Brewing Co, meet your expert guide in the Alice Springs Desert Park Courtyard and receive your own specialised head torch before starting a Nocturnal Tour. Your guide will lead you to the Mulga Walk, a large predator proof enclosure located in the foothills of the MacDonnell Ranges. Join your guide in small groups as you walk through a rich desert habitat full of life. Stopping to spotlight endangered animals of Central Australia showcasing their natural behaviours. Get up close to animals including bilby, echidna and mala.
  • Destination Information - Mulga Walk – Is a small section of a 10-acre enclosure that holds a range of threatened species once wide spread in Central Australia.

Day 7: Depart Alice Springs

Transfer to the airport Any time before your flight is at leisure.

If airline, cruise and rail tickets have been issued, the rules of the fare airfare will determine cancellation and/or amendment charges. You agree that these cancellation charges are reasonable, represent a genuine pre-estimate of our loss and are required to protect our legitimate business interests. For group departures, a transfer of a confirmed booking to another departure date is deemed to be a cancellation of the original booking. Following the commencement of your tour, no refunds will be made for any services which you choose not to use or which you cannot use for any reason other than a reason within our control.
