Day 1: Arrive Launceston
- Arrive Launceston Airport, transfer to hotel. This afternoon, depart on an Afternoon Discovery Cruise down the River Tamar. Enjoy a 40km round trip down the river, see Tamar Island, various wildlife sanctuaries, historical properties, notable vineyards, St. Matthias Church and of course the spectacular Cataract Gorge. During the 2.5-hour experience enjoy live historical commentary, afternoon tea, freshly brewed tea and coffee, local beer and wine tasting complimented with a delicious fresh fruit basket selection. Tonight, enjoy a 3 course Welcome Dinner with your group at Cataract on Paterson which includes 1 glass of sparkling wine on arrival.

- Destination Information - Launceston – Is the second major city in Tasmania and is known as a Mecca for food and wine. One of the highlights is the Tamar wine valley region.
Day 2: Tamar Valley
- Enjoy award winning cool climate wines at 2-3 picturesque cellar doors and chat with the owners. Relax as you indulge in a smorgasbord lunch of Tasmania's finest local produce with a glass of wine before transferring to Cradle Mountain Lodge in the heart of Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park. On arrival at your accommodation for the next 2 nights, you’ll be met by lodge staff and taken for a private wine and cheese tasting. You will taste six lovingly handcrafted wines accompanied by three boutique cheeses which showcase Tasmania’s reputation for gourmet produce. Your host will guide you through the history and individuality of Tasmania’s wine and cheese industry.

- Destination Information - Tamar Valley – Is a valley in Tasmania that runs north west from Launceston. The valley is trickled with wineries along both side of the river.
- Destination Information - Cradle Mountain – Situated in the Cradle Mountain - Lake St Clair National Park at 1,545 metres above sea level it is the 6th highest mountain in Tasmania and one of the main highlights of this region offering beautiful mystical landscapes.
Day 3: Cradle Mountain
- This morning, meet one of the Lodge Rangers for a guided walk to Dove Lake. On this leisurely 6.2km walk (3hrs) you will learn about the Aboriginal history of Tasmania and bush tucker plants, European settlement of the island, and the geological features around the lake. Those that do not wish to walk the full circuit can return part way. This evening, you’ll enjoy a special Tasmanian Devils Nocturnal Experience. They are primarily a nocturnal species therefore far more active at night. Your ranger will use environmentally sensitive lighting and focus on the social interactions and feeding habits of these unique carnivores, allowing visitors a rare up-close opportunity of seeing Tasmanian devils in a group feeding situation - quite a spectacular sight. Later, enjoy a 3 course dinner with paired wines back at the lodge.

Day 4: Strahan
- Enjoy a leisurely morning and breakfast before leaving Cradle Valley for your journey to the quaint fishing village Strahan (approx. 2 hours drive). Visit Strahan’s Hogarth Falls for an easy stroll through an example of mixed forest to a picturesque waterfall. Among the towering gum trees, you will also find species typical of cool temperate rainforest, such as leatherwood, sassafras and myrtle. Be sure to look out for platypus, the falls are famous for them! After, transfer to Strahan for a mid-afternoon arrival where your rooms will be available for immediate check-in. Tonight, gather with your group and walk to Risby Cove Gallery. Housed within a converted, century-old sawmill workshop with the exposed-beam framework, this local gem boasts an eclectic collection of work by Tasmanian artists. Paintings, photography, jewellery, ceramics, glass and textile art are featured in the collection. Work by Tasmanian furniture designers and sculptors using rare Tasmanian timbers, such as Huon and King Billy pine, sassafras and myrtle, form a significant part of the collection also. Artists whose work has been exhibited at Risby Cove include Tasmanian Aboriginal painter Mick Quilliam, local photographer Rick Eaves and sculptural furniture designer James Vaughn. Enjoy a guided Tasmanian Gin Tasting on arrival and a private tour by the curator, Ella. You’ll then be escorted to Risby Cove Restaurant for a 3 course dinner. Immerse yourselves in the food and wine as you take in the incredible views over the Marina and Harbour through the floor to ceiling windows.

Day 5: Gordon River Cruise
- This morning following an early breakfast, board the award-winning Gordon River Cruise for a guided wilderness journey across Macquarie Harbour and up the Gordon River. Macquarie Harbour is a vast body of water that measures six times the size of Sydney Harbour and the Gordon River Cruise gives you a unique perspective on our natural Tasmanian wilderness and the amazing west coast. During your wilderness cruise, wander amongst the largest tract of temperate rainforest surviving on earth, home to trees thousands of years old. After a chef prepared lunch showcasing Tasmanian produce, explore the ruins of Sarah Island, once a dreaded penal colony and the largest boat building settlement in the British colonies. Your guide will recount astonishing stories of the convicts, soldiers, settlers and shipwrights who lived and worked there. At 12:30pm a delicious lunch will be served. Enjoy your upgraded Premier Upper Deck seats with free-flowing Tasmanian wine, leather recliners and a private viewing deck. Upon conclusion of your cruise, meet your coach and transfer south to Hobart (approx. 4 hours’ drive) arriving in the early evening. Tonight, gather in the lobby and transfer by coach to Shene Estate in Pontville. This stunning historic property is now an award-winning distillery. Once an ostentatious country residence of early colonialist Gamaliel Butler, Shene’s rich history has direct links with King George III, Governor Lachlan Macquarie and World Heritage Sites. Today it’s a spirited place producing Tasmania’s only triple distilled whisky. You’ll be met by the owner and Head Distiller David Kernke, his family and his loveable dog “Rudd”, who will take you on a fascinating tour followed by dinner at the Estate.

Day 6: Bruny Island Foodie Experience
- Depart on your Full Day Bruny Island Foodie Experience! Be prepared for a delicious day out where you will enjoy award winning cheeses, premium wines and beer, freshly shucked oysters, handcrafted whisky and fudge, local honey and a delicious lunch at Pennicott's beachside restaurant with sweeping views of Adventure Bay. Meet and hear the stories of island producers including an exclusive cheese and beer experience at Bruny Island Cheese company and sweet taste sensations from Bruny Island Chocolate Company and Bruny Island Honey. Get Shucked’s famous Bruny oysters will be served alongside lunch. We recommend the premium Tasmanian fish, chips and salad to keep you fuelled as you continue exploring. Lunch is accompanied by two glasses of quality Tasmanian wine, beer, cider or juices.

Day 7: Hobart – Depart Hobart
- This morning, meet your vehicle and transfer out to Barilla Oyster Farm for a 1 hour tour which includes; an informative overview of oyster farming, processing and grading, a live oyster display and interaction, Beach tour to see the oyster lease, Accessto seeing dried abalone in a processing environment, a taste of o Gillespie’s Ginger Beer- Tasmania’s traditional ginger beer and six freshly shucked oysters! After, you'll be transferred to Brooke Street Pier to board your luxury catamaran to MONA (Museum of Old and New Art). Ride in style down the Derwent River in the Posh Pit, with canapes, wine and private access to the bow of the ship. Mona, the Museum of Old and New Art, is Australia’s largest privately-owned gallery and museum. Showcasing the diverse collection of its owner, Tasmanian gambler and maths nerd David Walsh, Mona exhibits everything from ancient Egyptian funerary objects and modernist masterpieces to a word waterfall and a machine that mimics the human digestive system. The Mona site - perched on the banks of the River Derwent, not far from Hobart - is also home to the Moorilla vineyard, the oldest in Tasmania. Upon arrival at MONA, enjoy some time at leisure to roam the stunning subterranean architecture which showcases the highlights of David Walsh's $110m private collection. Later, depart on a behind-the-scenes tour of the Moorilla winery and vineyard. You’ll taste the wine as it’s being made and delve into the backstory of Moorilla, David Walsh and Claudio Alcorso, who planted Moorilla’s first vines. The tour includes an exclusive tasting of the best wines from Moorilla. Lastly, indulge in a 1 course lunch with matched wine at Mona’s flagship restaurant, Source, before catching your ferry back to Hobart.
