Day 1: Arrive In Shymkent City, Kazakhstan With Baidibek Ata Monument Tour

  • Welcome to Shymkent - Southern Kazakhstan’s most vibrant city & A silk road stop. The city was once seized by the great Genghis Khan. Meet & Greet by our English-speaking guide. Transfer to your hotel. Check-in to your room, time to relax and unwind.
  • Night orientation tour of Shymkent - Visiting Old city and citadel. Holy springs and sacred river in the centre of the modern city, Enjoy panoramic views of the city from Shymkent’s highest monument – Baidibek Ata monument.
  • Dinner as per your choice of restaurant (Direct payment). Later, return to the hotel and a restful night's sleep

Day 2: Excursion To Akmeshit Caves And Transfer To Turkistan

  • Breakfast at the hotel & check-out formalities.
  • Akmeshit Caves: A unique and mysterious place, shrouded in legends. The cave stretches for 150 meters in length, 65 meters in width and 25 meters in height, and its outlines when viewed from the inside are very bizarre – from some points they resemble the shanyrak of a yurt, and on the other hand they look like a tumar, a traditional Kazakh talisman case. The acoustics of the cave are truly unique: if you stand in one corner and speak at the top of your voice, no one will hear you in the other corner.
  • Proceed towards Turkistan city, Kazakhstan’s greatest architectural monument and most important pilgrimage destination.

  • Khoja Ahmed Yasawi: The Mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi was built at the time of Timur (Tamerlane), from 1389 to 1405. In this partly unfinished building, Persian master builders experimented with architectural and structural solutions later used in the construction of Samarkand, the capital of the Timurid Empire. Today, it is one of the largest and best-preserved constructions of the Timurid period.
  • Free time to relax or explore the complex facilities and various entertainment options.
  • Parade of the boats – A charming story of amazing love: This well-known romantic poetry from the ancient epic was presented in the form of a floating theatrical action in 2 parts. In the first part, all the characters are presented on different boats and in a solemn parade of boats along the Karavansaray water channel make a procession and greet the guests of the complex.
  • In the second part, the show takes place in the central harbour, where each action is accompanied by a fountain show and tells the famous story in the language of water choreography and theatrical performance on each boat.

Day 3: Fly From Turkistan To Almaty

  • Enjoy breakfast & check-out formalities. Transfer to the airport for flight to Almaty – KC.
  • Welcome to Almaty – City of a thousand colors! After clearing custom & immigration procedures followed by baggage collection, you will be met by your English-speaking guide in the arrival’s hall.
  • You will be escorted to your vehicle. Chocolates & refreshing napkins will be served on board your vehicle. Enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi on board your vehicle. Please ask your guide for login details. Welcome to your hotel & check-in to your room.
  • Dinner as per your choice of cuisine or restaurant. Later, return to the hotel and good night sleep.

Day 4: Full Day Shymbulak Ski Resort And Panfilov & Arbat Walking Tour

  • Breakfast at the hotel and proceed for the day tour.
  • Shymbulak Ski Resort – Level 3 via Gondola: In just 1 hour, you can get from Almaty city center to its highest point (3200 meters) and drink coffee in the highest bar in the CIS using 3 tier world-class Gondola.
  • On Shymbulak, you can have a great time even if you can’t ski or snowboard. All-day entertainment for the whole family is provided by cafes and restaurants with excellent cuisine, an observation deck with powerful binoculars that rotate 360 degrees and a playground. For those who want to enjoy the mountain silence and admire the snowy slopes, the resort offers high-class hotels and various kinds of adventure activities such as Zip Lining, Paragliding, Horse riding etc.
  • Enjoy lunch in Shymbulak or a choice of your restaurant in the city. Proceed to your hotel for some relaxation.
  • Panfilov & Arbat Walking Tour: Evening walk around Panfilov promenade. The promenade which overlooks the Kazakh Opera & Ballet theatre is lined with small shops, eateries, and cafes & beautiful lights. You will enjoy hearing many local musicians singing songs & playing local musical instruments. The tour will end on Arbat street with lots of shopping outlets and street entertainment.
  • Dinner as per your choice of cuisine or restaurant. Later, return to the hotel and good night sleep.

Day 5: Full Day Panfilov Park & Zenkov Cathedral With Kok Tobe Hills

  • Breakfast at your hotel and proceed for the day tour.
  • Explore the city of Almaty by quickly getting acquainted with discovering major areas of interest – During this introductory tour, you will visit the First President Park, Republic square, State Opera and Ballet Theatre, museums at the Academy of Sciences, Abay Square, Kazakhstan Hotel, Palace of the Republic.
  • Panfilov Park & Zenkov Cathedral: The Park is named and dedicated to the Panfilov Heroes who were 28 soldiers of an Almaty Infantry. Their memories are etched at the fearsome war memorial east of the Zenkov Cathedral which depict soldiers from all 15 soviet republics on the map of USSR. The Park is lush green area and it’s a good place to sit, rest, relax and see the bustling sights of the city.
  • ‘Zenkov Cathedral’, is one of the most beautiful, magnificent, and architectural monuments of the city of Almaty with the height of 56 meters and is in the green Panfilov Park of Almaty. A. Zenkov had supervised the construction of this cathedral in the early 19th century and legend goes that it was built without a single nail. But unfortunately, it’s not true. Although the design is remarkably unique but it’s because of the advanced technological expertise of that time.
  • Enjoy lunch at your favourite restaurant. Proceed to your hotel for some relaxation.
  • Kok Tobe Hills: Kok Tobe is the highest point in the city of Almaty standing on a 1100 m hill at the south-east edge of the city. It is worth a visit to Kok Tobe because of its panoramic view of the city from all directions. To reach the Kok Tobe hill, one should take a cable car ride which starts near Hotel Novotel and goes over some of the oldest parts of Almaty and the magnificent fruit growing gardens. Once you reach the Kok Tobe hill, you would see the famous 372 m high TV Tower which is visible from far and offers great views of the mountains and the city plus many attractions at the top including many restaurants serving cuisines from across the globe.

Day 6: Full Day Almaty City Tour With Issyk Lake

  • Breakfast at the hotel and proceed for the day tour.
  • Issyk Lake: The Issyk Lake tour is especially designed for all mountain lovers who can first hike to the beautiful cliffs called ‘The Kremlin walls and later camp at the lake side taking in the fresh air and scenic beauty. The tour would start by taking you to the spectacular gorges of Trans-Ili- Alatau along the Kuldja tract famous for trade caravans. In between, you would get a dose on history, as the tour would take you to see the burial mounds of the Saka Period, the Ostrich Farm and the Issyk Barrow. The route would finally take you to Issyk Lake, where you can enjoy the breath-taking beauty of the turquoise water surface and a view of the surrounding area. One can click photographs to seize the moment or can just laze around and read a book or soak in the silence of the natural beauty.

  • Green Bazaar and Rakhat Chocolate Shop: If you are among these, who don’t like to go to a mall and prefer the outdoor market among fresh air and belong to the old-school shopping type, then without wasting any time, head straight towards the Zelyony Bazaar located close to the Panfilov Park in Almaty. Also, known as the Green Market, this market is your typical local market where you can purchase everything starting from meat to spices to fruits to even clothes and furniture. The key to shopping here is that you should have a flair for bargaining, and you can get everything at a very reasonable rate.
  • You will be delighted to see the colourful atmosphere and the variety of goods available.
  • Right next door is the famous Rakhat Chocolate shop. Rakhat which means pleasure in Kazakh is the oldest manufactures of chocolates dating back to almost 70 years. Around 3500 workers work in basically 2 factories, one located in Almaty and one in Shymkent city. They also make chocolates for people suffering from diabetes and their low-calorie products like candies, cookies and waffles are a range among the people and tourists.

Day 7: Departure From Almaty

  • Get your packed breakfast from the hotel and check-out.
