About the tour
This monastery was built by the Chogyal Gyurmed Namgyal in the first quarter of the 18th century in Phodong of North Sikkim. It belongs to the Kagyupa Sect and it is said to be the first Kagyupa monastery to be set up in Sikkim.Darjeeling Himalayan Railway is the town's other claim to global fame. Connecting the town with the plains, it was declared a World Heritage Site in 1999 and is one of the few steam engines still in service in India.

Day-wise Itinerary
ExpandDay 01 : Arrival At Bagdodra To Gangtok
Meet and Greet on arrival at New Jalpaiguri railway station / IXB Airport and transfer to Gangtok (5,480 feet). On arrival Check-in to hotel and rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at Gangtok.
Day 02 : Sightseeing Tour Of Gangtok
After breakfast start for an excursion to Tsomgo Lake (12,400 feet) and Baba Mandir (13,200 feet) which is 55 kms one way from Gangtok city. Overnight stay at Gangtok.
Day 03 : Gangtok To Lachen
After breakfast pick up from hotel and transfer to Lachen (9,800 feet). Enroute visit Singhik View point, Seven Sister Water Fall, Naga Water Fall and arrive Lachen by evening. Dinner at hotel. Overnight stay at Lachen.
Day 04 : Lachen To Chopta Valley – Gurudongmar Lake – Lachung
Early Morning drive to Chopta Valley (13,200 feet) and Gurudongmar Lake (17,100 feet). Back to hotel. After lunch and drive to Lachung (8,800 feet). Arrive Lachung by evening. Dinner and Overnight stay at Lachung.
Day 05 : Lachung To Yumthang Valley Excursion – Gangtok
Early Morning drive to Yumthang Valley (11,800 feet Known as Valley of Flowers). On the way back, visit Hot Spring considered to have medicinal properties. Back to resort for lunch and transfer to Gangtok, enroute witness the wonderful Bheema and Twin water falls. On arrival at Gangtok check-in to your hotel. Overnight stay at Gangtok
Day 06 : Gangtok To Pelling
After breakfast start for Pelling (6,100 feet). Enroute visit Temi Tea Garden, Samdruptse and Siddheshwar Dham (Chardham) in Namchi. On arrival check-in to your hotel. Overnight stay at Pelling.
Day 07 : Sightseeing Tour Of Pellling
After breakfast start for full day sightseeing. 1st Half tour - Darap village, Rimbi water Falls, Khecheopalri Lake and Khangchendzongha waterfalls. In afternoon start for 2nd Half tour - Pemayangtse Monastery, Rabdantse Ruins, New Halipad Ground. Overnight stay at Pelling.
Day 08 : Pelling To Darjeeling
After breakfast transfer to Darjeeling (6,710 feet). On arrival check-in to hotel and rest of the day free. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.
Day 09 : Sightseeing Tour Of Darjeeling
Early Morning (at 04:00 am) drive to Tiger hill to watch the spectacular sunrise over Mount Khangchendzongha (28,208 ft. Worlds 3rd highest peak), on your way back visit Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop. After breakfast visit Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, P.N. Zoological Park (Thursday closed), Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee self-help Centre (Sunday closed), Tea Garden (outer view), Ropeway and Japanese Temple. Evening free for shopping or leisure. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.
Day 10 : Departure From Bagdodra
After breakfast Check-out from hotel on time and transfer to New Jalpaiguri railway station / IXB Airport for your onward journey.
