About the tour
Darjeeling – A holidayer’s delight and Gangtok. The main highlights of Darjeeling are trip to Tiger hills to catch a glimpse of sunrise over Kanchandzonga, Batasia Loop–the point where the rail tracks spiral around over itself through a tunnel and different cultural sites like Ghoom Monastery, Peace Pagoda and Japanese temple.

Day-wise Itinerary
ExpandDay 1: New Jalpaiguri/bagdogra–darjeeling
On arrival in New Jalpaiguri Railway station/ Bagdogra Airport, our representative would meet you and transfer you to Darjeeling (100 Kms/4hrs). Check in at the hotel after arrival. Rest of the day is at leisure. After relaxation you can go outside for a walk in the local markets to buy something special of the place. Dinner and overnight stay is at hotel in Darjeeling.
Day 2: Darjeeling
Very early in the morning (at around 0300 hrs), we take you to Tiger Hill to catch a glimpse of sunrise over Kanchandzonga (Subject to clear weather conditions). On the way back you can see Batasia Loop–the point where the rail tracks spiral around over itself through a tunnel and over a hilltop to reduce the gradient of ascent and Ghoom Monastery. Evening is free for leisure activities or for a joy train ride in Toy Train (optional). Dinner and overnight stay is at Darjeeling hotel.
Day 3: Darjeeling
After breakfast, we will take you for a full day excursion trip of Darjeeling including HMI (Himalayan Mountaineering Institute), Zoological Gardens, and Dhirdham temple, Happy Valley Tea Estate, Tenzing, Gombu Rock, Peace Pagoda and Japanese temple. Dinner and overnight stay is at hotel in Darjeeling.
Day 4: Darjeeling – Gangtok
After breakfast, we will take transfer you to Gangtok (100 Kms/3hrs). After relaxation we take you for a half day excursion trip of Gangtok including Ganesh Tok and Hanuman Tok and Namgyal Institute of Tibetology, Banjhakari Falls, Tashi View Point etc, Rumtek Monastery etc. Overnight stay and dinner is in hotel.
Day 5: Gangtok
- Early in the morning, we take you to an excursion trip to Tsongo Lake or Changu Lake which is a glacial lake in East Sikkim, and Baba Harbhajan Temple– a temple made and revered by soldiers to owner a famous Indian Army officer named Captain Baba Harbhajan Singh. - Nathu La Pass is a mountain pass in the Himalayas which connects the Indian state of Sikkim with China’s Tibet Autonomous Region. The pass is at 4,310 m (14,140 ft) above mean sea level, and forms a part of the ancient Silk Road. Visit to Nathu La Pass depends on availability of permits and road conditions. For visiting Nathu La Pass, a special permission is required from Indian Army. Please note that the pass is closed on Mondays & Tuesdays every week and in the winter.
Day 6: Gangtok– New Jalpaiguri/bagdogra
After breakfast, it would be departure for New Jalpaiguri Railway Station/Bagdogra Airport (110 kms/4 hours) for onward/return journey
Exclusions
Expand- Cost for supplementary service, optional Tours, Up-gradation Charges, Guide, Sightseeing entrance fees. Cost for Airfare, Train fare, Insurance Premiums, Rafting Charges. Cost for service provided on a personal request. Cost for personal expenses such as laundry, bottled water, soft drinks, incidentals, porter charges, tips etc. Cost for any other service not mentioned under the “Cost Includes” head. Difference in cost arising due to change in Taxes by the Government which will have to be collected directly ON ARRIVAL. Difference in cost arising due to change in Fuel price (Calculation based on Petrol INR 78 per liter & Diesel INR 58 per liter) Difference in cost arising due to extra usage of vehicle, other than scheduled & mentioned in the itinerary. Difference in cost arising due to mishaps, political unrest, natural calamities like - landslides, road blockage, etc. In such case extra will have to be paid on the spot by the guest directly.
