Day-wise Itinerary
ExpandDay 1: Arrival In Kathmandu (1337m)
- Arrival at Kathmandu International Airport and transfer to 3 star hotel at Kathmandu.
- 7:00pm to 10:00pm Buffet Dinner at Hotel Restaurant. Hotel Shanker or Park Village.
Day 2: Kathmandu – Visit Pashupathinath Temple And Budhanilkantha Temple
(Visa Day of NRI’s) After breakfast visit Pashupatinath temple and Boudhanath, Back to Hotel for lunch and Eevening we will have a group briefing at 6:00 pm to prepare for the yatra and collect Down jacket and Douffle Bags. Buffet Dinner at Hotel Restaurant on 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
Day 3: Kathmandu To Kodari (2515m) – 4 To 5 Hours
6:00am to 9:00am Breaktfast time, After breakfast about 10:00 am group departure to Kodari (Nepal – China Border) by private tourist coach. Over night stay at Tashi Delek or Kailash guesthouse.
Day 4: Kodari – Nyalam 3750 M (160 Kms)
After breakfast we clear Nepali customs / immigration and a 10 minute walk across friendship Bridge to Tibet where the Chinese border police will check passport & visa. Here our land cruiser and bus await. 30 minutes drive from immigration to Zhangmu, where second immigration formalities have to be done. Zhangmu to Nylam we have to drive 3 hour to Nylam and have a lunch. Free time in evening, 7:00pm Dinner (Nepali Time) Overnight at Shishapangma Guesthouse.
Day 5: Nyalam – Day Free For Acclimatization
- Whole day we are here for the acclimatization at Nyalam city After breakfast we will take a small walk through Nylam village to visit. An option for a 2 hour hiking for acclimatization or rest at the guesthouse. Free Time, 7:00pm Dinner (Nepali Time)
- . Overnight at Nyalam.
Day 6: Nyalam – Dongba 4500 M (550 Kms)
7 to 8 hour Drive. After breakfast drive to Dongba. Today we will be passing through the first highest pass of Nylam Thong La Pass (5000m) where a magnificent view of high Himalayas can be seen such as Shishapangma and Langtang Himal. We will have packed lunch on the way to Dongba. 7:00pm Dinner (Nepali Time) over night at Dongba guesthouse.
Day 7: Dongba To Mansarovar - 4550m (Chiu)
6 to 7 hour. After breakfast, we will be heading to Mansarovar and today is the most auspicious day for all of us. We will see the first glimpse of holy Mt. kailash and sacred lake Mansarovar, A lifetime achievement, here we will perform a holy dip. Relax and explore around the Mansarovar area. We will have packed lunch on the way to Mansarovar. 7:00pm Dinner (Nepali Time) over night at Mansarovar guest house.
Day 8: Mansarovar To Darchen (4560m)
In the morning we have holy dip and Pooja (ritual activities). After Lunch drive to Darchen. Proceed to Serlung Gompa by Jeep (if permitted) to have divine view of Astapada, Nandi Parbat, Kailas Ganga, Kuber Parbat, Astamatrikagam and Dakshinmurti Shivalaya. Overnight stay at Darchen, guest house.
Day 9: Darchen To Driaphuk (4890m)
This is first day of the Kailash Parikrama (Kora). Start the journey after breakfast as early as possible. This day we start walking continuously for about 6 to 7 hours. Yak will carry our all-essential equipment's. Overnight stay at Driaphuk, Campsite.
Day 10: Driaphuk To Zuthulphuk (4750m)
This day is very sensitive and we have to trek through Dolma-La (5,670m) above sea level. The weather is unpredictable in Dolma-La and any time can change and start to snow storm. So we try to start our journey as early as possible. En route we can visit Gaurikund. But it is very difficult to go and touch. Overnight stay at Zuthulphuk, Campsite.
Day 11: Zuthulphuk To Paryang / Zhongba
This is the day to finish Parikrama (Kora) of Kailash at Zongjerpu and drive to Paryang. Overnight stay at guesthouse.
Day 12: Paryang/ Zhongba To Nylam / Zangmu
After Breakfast drive to Nyalam, En route packed lunch will be provided. Overnight at Nylam / Zangmu.
Day 13: Nylam To Kathmandu Edit
After clearing custom formalities you will be picked up at Nepal side by tourist coach and continue proceed to Kathmandu, check in to hotel. At evening, feedback assembly and certificate distribution. Overnight stay at Kathmandu.
Day 14: Drive To Airport
After breakfast we transfer you to airport by tourist coach.Return back to your hometown with memories of Kailash tour organised by Woodstock India
