Day-wise Itinerary
ExpandDay 1: Guwahati – Shillong
The tour starts from Guwahati on or before 0900 hours for the approximately 4 hours drive to Shillong with a short break at the picturesque Umium Lake at Barapani. Check into your hotel. After refreshing yourserlf set out for a sightseeing tour of Shillong including the Shillong Peak, Elephant Falls, Wards lake and the Golf Course. Enjoy the evening at leisure or walk down to Police Bazar (closed on Sundays) for some amazing bargains. Stay overnight at Shillong.
Day 2: Shillong – Cherrapunji - Shillong
After breakfast, proceed to Cherrapunji – the wettest place on earth. Go caving at the Mawsmai Caves and stand in awe beside the majestic Nohkalikai Falls. Enjoy the beautiful sights in and around Cherrapuji and after lunch, proceed to Shillong. The evening is free for you at our disposal. Stay overnight at Shillong.
Day 3: Shillong - Guwahati
After breakfast visit the enchanting Don Bosco Museum. Later depart for Guwahati. Enjoy a river cruise over the river Brahmaputra in the evening. Stay overnight at Guwahati.
Day 4: Guwahati - Departure
Wake up early for a visit to the famous Shaktipeeth – the Kamakhya Temple. Comeback for breakfast and proceed to the airport / station for your onward journey. The tour ends here.
