Day 1: Arrival At New Jalpaiguri / Ixb To Pheuntsholing
Meet and greet on arrival at New Jalpaiguri / IXB and transfer to Pheuntsholing – The Gateway of Bhutan by road from India, Pheuntsholing (also sometimes spelled Phuntsholing) is the second largest town in Bhutan (population around 40,000) and is located on the Indian border, next to the town of Jaigaon. Evening free and overnight stay at hotel.
Day 2: Transfer To Thimphu
After permit transfer to Thimphu. Check into the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 3: Thimphu To Paro
After breakfast visit Takin Zoo, BBS Tower, Chang Gangkha Monastery, Buddha Point, Changlimthang Stadium and Archery ground. Afternoon transfer to Paro (65 kms – 1.15 hrs drive). Overnight stay at Paro.
Day 4: Paro Sightseeing
After breakfast visit Ta Dzong (National Museum) and then walk down the trail to visit Rinpung Dzong which has a long and fascinating history. Afternoon visit Drukgyel Dzong, the ruined fortress from where Bhutanese repelled several invasion by Tibetan armies. Later visit Kyichu Lhakhang one of the oldest and most sacred shrines of the Kingdom. Return at hotel and overnight stay at hotel.
Day 5: Transfer To Phuentsholing
After check out drive to Dooars in India (190kms / 06 – 07 hrs). It’s a famous Wild Life Sanctuary for one horned rhino and Indian elephant. Overnight stay at hotel / resort.
Day 6: Dooars ( Lataguri ) To Ixb / New Jalpaiguri
