Ladakh is popularly known as "The land of Numerous Passes", "The Land of Mystic Lamas", "The Broken Moon" and "The Last Shangri-La". It is a land like no other, situated in Indian Himalaya in Jammu and Kashmir State. Leh is one of the favorite tourist destinations located in the northernmost part of India.
Day 01 : Arrival At Leh
You will be met by our representative on your arrival at Leh airport and transferred to your hotel. Rest of the day relax in hotel and acclimatize.
Day 02 : Leh
After breakfast head to the Leh City Polo Grounds to witness the opening ceremony of The Ladakh Festival. The day's events at the festival will unfold into magical colours, sights and sounds. Head to the hotel by early evening and sleep early for next day's morning journey.
Day 03 : Drive From Leh To Pangong Tso
Leave early morning for Pangong Tso after breakfast at hotel via Chang La, the third highest motorable (5360 m. or 17590 ft. above sea level) road in the world. Drive downwards to Pangong Tso. This lake of "3 Idiots" fame is world renowned for its changing colours throughout the day according to the sun's position and reflection. Stay overnight at lakeside camp. Dinner at camp.
Day 04 : Transfer To Leh
Leave early morning from Pangong Tso and have breakfast and see Hemis monastery on the way to Leh. Hemis is the largest monastery in Ladakh and has one of the most beautiful locations. It also consists of a museum which houses the largest collection of ancient Buddhist artifacts in India. Reach Leh by late afternoon. Rest of the day at leisure. OPTIONAL visit to the music concert at the Ladakh Festival in the evening. Overnight at hotel.
Day 05 : Leh
After breakfast, drive to Sangam (Nimoo). This is where you will start your rafting. Zanskar is one of the best sites in the world for White Water Rafting. Sangam derives its name from the confluence of the Zanskar River & the Indus River. After approx. 2 hrs of rafting, have lunch and head back to Leh. Still further ahead in the direction of Leh is Magnetic Hill, where even today debates of a massive scientific phenomenon happen. Reach Leh by early evening and head straight to the Polo Grounds for a Polo Match at the Ladakh festival. Overnight at hotel in Leh.
Day 06 : Transfer To Nubra Valley
After breakfast at hotel, drive to Khardung La, the Highest Motorable Road (5602 mt. or 18380 ft. above sea level) In the World. Drive downwards to Nubra Valley. Head onwards to Diskit Gompa (monastery) and to the sand dunes of Hundar. Ride the unique double-humped Bactrian camels. Drive back to Diskit for overnight at hotel/guest house. Dinner at hotel/guest house.
Day 07 : Transfer To Leh
Leave early morning after breakfast and reach Leh early afternoon. On reaching Leh, head to the massive Leh Palace and Fort. End the day with a visit to the music concert at the Ladakh Festival.
Day 08 : Leh
After breakfast head to the Leh City Polo Grounds to witness the closing ceremony of The Ladakh Festival. Witness the colourful closure of this magnificient event that symbolizes the culture and traditions of this great ancient & mystical kingdom. Head to the hotel late evening and post-dinner sleep early for next day's early morning departure.
Day 09 : Departure From Leh To Delhi
Check-out and head to airport for your flight to Delhi. Trip ends on your arrival at the airport with a great travel experience.
