It is the best kept secret place in Bangladesh.It has the only windmill power station plant in Bangladesh.The beach are really clean and there will hardly anyone disturbing you.The beach is surrounded by oak tree. There is miles of salt land and it is one of the largest exporters of salt,which are taken by boat all around the country for refinery. It is also land of Late Muslim saint Shah Abdul Malek.Lots of people do visit this land to pray on his graveyard.Shah Abdul Malek Majar e Sharif(grave) is build large complex and that side of the Island do really get busy in certain time of the year and that experience is once in life time one. Lots of free food are distributed whoever goes at that time. Although the accomodation and transportation to kutubdia is not good but it is getting better everyday. You can travel from Cox'sbazar by boat or there is 5 days a week boat leaving from port city of Chittagong.If you have own transportation then you go by Bainachara,Magnama ghat.It lies in the same highway as cox'sbazar near chakaria.The road to magnama is really good and you will able to see hill on both side of the road. If anyone travel to this hidden beauty of Bengal then I will suggest a day trip or if want to have real adventure smell the pure soil of Bengal than Kutubdia is the place to be.
