Archaeological Museum is situated near the ancient temples in Durga Temple complex of Aihole. Possessing religious and historical significance, the site is renowned for housing more than 100 ancient temples built between the 6th and 8th century by the Chalukyas.The museum exhibits sculptures and artefacts belonging to different faiths and periods, which mainly include stone sculptures of Brahmanical, Jaina and Buddhist faith. Apart from this, the museum also has intricately carved architectural members, inscriptions, sati stones and other stones.
