Badami Cave Temples are a group of four beautiful cave temples, which are located in sandstone hills of Badami town in Bagalkot District of Karnataka. Earlier, Badami was the capital of the Chalukyas and these temples were constructed by Chalukya rulers during 6th to 8th century.The temple stands on a veranda with columns and brackets leading to a main hall. All these temples are pillared on the maha mantapa  that leads to the inner sanctum, which enshrines the sculpture. Out of these four, three belongs to the Vedic faith while the remaining one is dedicated to Jains.
