The home of BBC comedy series 'Gavin and Stacey' Barry Island is a popular seaside resort approximately 1 mile from the town of Barry. The beautiful Blue Flag beach of Whitmore Bay, Barry Island is a wide, south facing, sandy crescent beach with rocky headland at each end, and rock pools revealed at low tide.
