Occupying the 24th floor of architecturally unique Thai Dusit Thani hotel on Sheikh Zayed Road, this restaurant has an authentic feel. The elaborate dark-wood decor features tables with high-backed chairs and hints of gold. Traditional Thai dancers also perform on a small stage at 8pm each night. The menu boasts a number of interesting concoctions, such as prawns wrapped in rice paper rolls and the deep-fried (they look like they're in sleeping bags). Get stuck into the mud-crab claws in yellow curry sauce with egg, they're medium-sized and unbelievably flavoursome with just a hint of spice. Soak it up with the pineapple fried rice, served in the open fruit, the rice is infused with pineapple flavour and includes veggies, small chunks of tofu and meat. There are a number of slightly obscure desserts, but be warned: the plate of an assortment of sweets is for the adventurous palate only.
