Brittas Bay is the most popular beach in Wicklow. It has a 5 km stretch of beautiful white sand dunes and clean beaches and has won and maintained the Blue Flag for many years now. It is ideal for bathing, sailing & walking. Brittas has a 3.2km stretch of powedery sand & sand dune system which is a designated area of significant interest as they are home to many interesting wildlife species & plants.Brittas Bay South beach has received the International Blue Flag award for 2013 Blue and Green Flag Beach Awards take place each year in early May.
