The puja ceremony is a prayer-like event. They do at least one every day, probably more, with one being very early in the morning. This monastery has both Nepalis and Tibetans. Many of the Tibetan women make jewelry from stones packed over the Himalayas, and the they are the best sales persons. The day in the monastery starts at 5.30am and it is the most beautiful time of the whole day. There is a light mist that engulfs the mountain ranges and we should sit contentedly outside the corridor waiting for the first light to cast its ray on Fishtail mountain.
