About

Originally opened in 1884, the Butler Arms Hotel is one of County Kerry's best-known, family-run hotels. It is situated in the coastal village of Waterville, which is midway around the famous Ring of Kerry. There are 36 elegantly decorated guest rooms, including standard, seaview, superior, and family bedrooms. For an extra touch of luxury, there are Deluxe Junior Suites with king-size bed, heated bathroom floors, seating area with couch, gas fire and soundproof windows. Waterville is a paradise for golfers and fishermen alike, as it has wonderful golf courses and also abuts Lough Currane, which is renowned for salmon and sea trout. Still, the region’s offering of activities and attractions is endless. In addition to touring the beautiful Ring of Kerry, travellers can visit the impressive Skellig Islands, enjoy the annual Celtic music festival in Cahersiveen and watch the summertime regattas hosted by various villages. When not exploring the local area, guests can relax with a sumptuous meal at the hotel’s Fishermen’s Restaurant, which has been awarded One Rosette from AA. The restaurant serves varied menus specializing in fresh seafood and locally sourced meat, which is complemented by an excellent wine list. For a more casual bite to eat, guests can drop into The Fishermen’s Bar, a popular spot among tourists and locals alike.
