Cardiff History Detective Walk

Cardiff Bridge (starting Point), Cardiff, CF10 1XD, Wales

About

Not much remains of the ancient past of this most modern and vibrant of cities. Not much on the surface that is! However, a walk at a gentle pace through this most compact of city centres reveals countless clues of a city that was once a magnet for Romans, Vikings, Normans, and characters who lived, thrived and died in this city throughout the centuries. Never a Royal Capital, and for most of its life not even a city, the simple market town and port of Cardiff was also a base for Kings in waiting, Kings in flight, and a King who should have been but died here in captivity. This city centre walk, on an easy accessible route, helps you play history detective and see the modern cityscape in a completely new light. This is a private tour ideally suited for small groups and individuals, at a time to suit you. This walk can also be tailored for families with children. Please enquire about special family rates. We meet and begin our walk on Cardiff Bridge, near Cardiff Castle. It lasts approximately 90 minutes.
