Carmarthen Town Museum

Carmarthen Library, King Street, Carmarthen, Carmarthenshire, Wales

About

Beside the famous River Tywi, Carmarthen has been a centre of government since Roman times. The displays celebrate the town's history from royal borough to busy county town. Carmarthen's new Town Museum and Gallery is located in Carmarthen Regional Library. The Library's listed facade once formed part of Furnace House, home to the Morgan dynasty of iron masters. The Library itself offers a range of services for library users. A public car park is nearby. Please note however that all enquiries about the Town Museum should be directed to Carmarthenshire Museums Service.
