Busy Crellestraße was closed to through traffic at the end of the 1980s and the street is now a popular recreation area for both adults and kids. Grown ups like to relax over a beer or a coffee while children prefer to kick a ball about in the pedestrian area close to the fountain on the corner of Helmstraße. The famous Wochenmarkt Crellestraße takes place here every Wednesday and Saturday.
