The greens where in perfect condition in the morning after being cut and ironed with the recently purchased machine. The Royton Sword was won by Ciaran Doherty (Bury) with a score of 138 (71, 67.) The wind picked up in the afternoon making conditions a little tougher but Andy Allen (C&RGC) pulled through to win the Anniversary Salver.
