Found in the heart of the Irish countryside, Fairymount Farm is a family-run farm that offers three self-catering cottages for travellers visiting Ballingarry, County Tipperary. The accommodation sits on the 180-hectare property, which boasts horses, sheep, walks, a private lake, fishing, archaeological sites and much more. The Fairymount is a spacious, self-contained, luxury house adjoining the farmhouse and facing south. The wheelchair accessible property has a lovely open-plan living room and large conservatory with magnificent views. There are French doors that lead out to the patio, barbecue area and large landscaped garden. All on the ground floor, there are two twin bedrooms and the master bedroom ensuite can be either twin or double. There is a choice of open turf fire, electric heaters and oil-fired central heating (both on meters). The Fairymount has a wonderful, new pine kitchen fully equipped with electric cooker, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. All linen and towels are provided free.While staying at Fairymount Farm, guests can visit Moneygall, the ancestral home of Barack Obama. They can enjoy a round of golf at one of the many nearby courses, including Birr, Nenagh and Roscrea. For walking enthusiasts, there’s the Slieve Bloom and Silvermines mountains to explore, and for equestrians there are excellent riding schools and trekking centres nearby. Locally there are numerous cinemas, shopping centres, children’s playgrounds, leisure centres, spa lodges and more.
