This gallery's two large rooms display lead-free glass from a variety of glass studios from around the country. Works by professors from the Academy of Handicrafts sit next to those from internationally renowned artists. The first room contains functional piecesvases, large plates and bowlscolored with natural minerals, like lapis lazula. The second room is given over to pure art. The pieces are functionless, their value being in their beauty. The style of the work here varies; sharp geometrical hand-cut pieces stand next to amorphous chunks of vivid color.
