Owner and chef, Giovanni Mazzola, grew up in the kitchen. From a very young age, he would often accompany his grandfather to work. His grandfather was a chef at the Grand Hotel Sciacca, just outside the family's hometown of Palermo, Sicily. when a newly immigrated Giovanni opened his first restaurant in New York City. After much success in the Big Apple, Giovanni left the eleven eateries he operated and moved west to sun-kissed California.
