A lovely family-run property, Glendale Holiday Cottages is set in the Glendalough area of County Wicklow. Owners Christy and Valerie Merrigan, who were born and raised in the local area, have been in the tourism business for 25 years.The self-catering accommodation comprises five holiday cottages. Each can sleep up to six people in three bedrooms: one ensuite with a king-size bed and two double-single rooms that share a separate bathroom. The cottages feature an open-plan kitchen, dining and living room with a cosy open fire. They include all the comforts of home, including TV, DVD player, washing machine/dryer, dishwasher, fridge, cooker and microwave. A high chair and cot are available on request. Upon arrival, guests are greeted by Christy or Valerie, who are available to answer any questions. A welcome pack with tea, milk, sugar and a starter park for the fire is provided. Additionally, each cottage has private, secure parking. WiFi access is available in the main reception area.The Holiday Cottages are only a short walk to Laragh, which is home to a pub, shops, restaurants, post office, church and coffee shops. Dublin is one hour away, while Dun Laoghaire is 1.5 hours away. The area is stepped in history, with Glendalough nearby. The Wicklow Way walking route goes through Glendalough and has nine marked routes to enjoy.
