Located in Castlebar, Co Mayo, Hawthorn Village offers self-catering holiday apartments for visitors for short or long stays from 1 June until 31 August. There are two types of apartment to choose from. The two-bed properties sleep three to four people while the four-bed apartments sleep four to eight people. Each furnished apartment has a spacious living room and all bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms. There are also units available for visitors with impaired mobility.Guests will enjoy the following facilities: internet access, telephone, free secure parking, a small gym with a running track, a recreation room with a pool table and a self-service launderette.These apartments are located just a short walk from Castlebar which is famous for both its walking and angling. Other facilities in Castlebar include swimming, bowling, golf, pubs, cafes, horse riding and tennis.Visitors might also enjoy the National Museum of Ireland – Country Life and the Royal Theatre and Event Centre.Hawthorn Village also makes a great base for touring Mayo and the surrounding areas. Visitors are close to Achill Island with its fine beaches and range of outdoor activities like surfing, hiking, horse riding and kite surfing. Westport town is another big draw thanks to a myriad of pubs, shops and restaurants, while many will also wish to visit Croagh Patrick, Ireland's holy mountain of pilgrimage.
