Hun Tiep Lake and the Downed B-52

 The plane crashed in Hun Tiep Lake, where it has remained ever since. About the size of a backyard swimming pool, Hun Tiep is not much of a lake. Plastic bags, candy wrappers and other garbage drift about its murky green water. The Lake is not easy to find. It's accessible only through a series of narrow alleyways and tall apartment buildings surround it on all sides. Remove the plane and plant a few trees and flowers and Hun Tiep might become a lovely courtyard. Instead, it's a rotting reminder of what the Vietnamese call the American War.
