About

Previously referred to as Hyochang Garden during the Chosun period, this park is an historic site as well as the resting place of Crown Prince Munhyo-seja, his mother, his daughter and other royalty. The remains of patriots who sacrificed their lives in the independence movement were also buried here in this park in 1946. Since 1979, memorial services for the seven martyrs to that cause have been held each year. As a visitor to the park, you can learn a lot about Korean history.
