IJburg, Steigereiland (pier island) and Haveneiland (harbour island) (tram 26 to IJburg, bus 66 from Amsterdam Bijlmer ArenA Station to Vennepluimstraat, by car exit the A10 at S114 (Zeeburg/IJburg)), [2]. IJburg consists of several islands connected by bridges, with a harbour and a beach. The first house at IJburg was build in 2002. The islands have a population of 15.000 and is still growing. The two main islands are Steigereiland (pier island) and Haveneiland (harbour island). Amongst the attractions are modern architecture, water, nature, good restaurants, entertainment venues and hip shops.
