Ilana Goor Museum (The)

4 Mazal Dagim Street

About

Located in the heart of Old Jaffa's quaint, but posh, gallery area, the building that houses the Ilana Goor Museum was built in the 18th century and once served as a hostel for Jewish travelers visiting the holyland. Goor has converted the space into a home and a gallery for her distinctive sculptures and furniture, and for her collection, culled from around the world. There is a café/restaurant on the roof, with an amazing view of the sea and Jaffa. One can certainly marvel at the use of the space (there's even an elevator) and at an artist who has so successfully managed to showcase and promote her work.
