Inverness Club, a longtime PGA favorite, has come a long way since its modest beginnings as a nine-hole course founded in 1903. The club is steeped in history and tradition. The first U.S. Open that Inverness hosted occurred more than eight decades ago and since then, the club has hosted eight major championships including three more Opens. A number of notable architects have lent their talents to the layout throughout the years including Donald Ross, George and Tom Fazio, and Arthur Hills.
