About

A social/cultural icon for generations of Filipinos, Jones Bridge was part of a grand scheme in the 1920s to transform Manila's civic center into a showcase of Neoclassical architecture. Jones Bridge once reigned as the queen of the bridges spanning the Pasig River, but fell into neglect and disrepair in the 1980s. Partial restoration has revealed some of the beauty of this historical landmark, but only total renovation could bring out the full grace and nobility of its elegant design.
