Marut Sikka is the giant of Indian cuisine in all its regional finery. He has authored books, has his own TV show and has put together enough food festivals and gala weddings to have his finger on the pulse of the country's gastronomic heart. Kainoosh is a gracious space that has its own entrance in the driveway of the mall, with a menu that includes contemporary Indian appetizers, traditional main courses and bespoke thalis. The best option is the last: For the price of one thali, you get to try six different dishes of great food. However, Sikka himself is most proud of his starters, the best of which is Roti Wrapped Chicken Leg with Apricot Chilli Masala. Excellent biryani, kebabs and korma at startlingly realistic prices.
