Steeped in history, the origins of The Keepers Arms date back to the 19th century. A family owned property that combines old world charm with modern guesthouse luxury and a warm Cavan welcome. Formerly a coaching house, the stone building has recently been restored, with great care taken to retain the original character of the building, while still providing a high standard of comfort and modern facilities. Facilities in the guestrooms include ensuite, central heating, TV, direct dial telephone and tea/coffee making facilities. WiFi is also available in all rooms. Dinner is available in the evening on a pre-booked basis and there is food served in the bar throughout the day. The Keepers Arms specialise in dinner party groups- locally or guest, family reunions, wedding anniversaries, work parties and Christmas parties. Special consideration is taken over the menu selection and all food is homemade by Sheila. You can choose from a seasonally changing menu which makes the very best of the finest local ingredients.The Keepers Arms is just 5km from the Slieve Russell 18 hole championship golf course. Other facilities are 9 hole golf, five bay floodlit driving range and golf lessons. Tee times can be arranged. Maps are provided of The Slieve Rushen Mountain, where you can walk for miles and discover the fabulous views from the top beside the Wind Farms.The Keepers Arms is located in the Kingfisher Cycle Trail, just follow the signs along the rural roads.
