Khao Laem golf course (Wachiralongkorn Dam) is located on a small, mountainous area; it has 9 holes with a total distance of 6,118 yards, which is rather short. There are 3 par-3 holes, 3 par-4 holes and 3 par-5 holes. Difficulties stem from the par-3 holes, which are quite long, and the layout of the course. There are hazards such as water, bunkers and trees on the fairways, in front of and behind the greens. The fairways have some slope, thus a shot aimed for a green might not reach it and getting the ball on a green is more difficult. The greens are rather small and a challenge, which are common in mountainous courses. Being quite a tough course, even professional golfers find it challenging.
